Dear Friends and Family,
Please join me in raising funds and awareness for brain tumor research.
As a fresh high school graduate, I was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in June 2000. With the help of my neurologist, we learned more about my tumor. It was a golf-ball sized meningioma located in the frontal lobe.
After much consideration into treatment options, I went under the knife in August 2000. My neurosurgeon extracted the tumor, and I began my healing process.
Now, 7 years later, I consider myself to be healed and "back to normal". Unfortunately, there are still millions of people that suffer through the emotional and physical side-effects of brain surgery. Please join the American Brain Tumor Association and myself in raising funds, promoting awareness, and enjoying a hopefully sunny Saturday morning on the Chicago Lakefront.
Last year, you guys helped me raise over $2000 for Brain Tumor Research. Since I know that we can do better, I'm setting our goal at $3000.
If you're in Chicago on Saturday April 26, I'd love to have you join my team for a 5K walk/run in Montrose Harbor.
Thanks!
Sharad Mangalick
