Each day 500 people will be diagnosed with a brain tumor. One diagnosed with a brain tumor is too many! That is why on Sunday, April 23, 2017 I will be participating in the American Brain Tumor Association’s Breakthrough for Brain Tumors 5K Run & Walk in Chicago, IL. Each year, the Breakthrough for Brain Tumors 5K Run & Walk provides critical funding for brain tumor research and for supportive patient care.
I am participating and fundraising in memory of my personal friends, Chuck O'Day, George Hofer, and Nina Banks who lost their battle with glioblastoma multiform brain cancer. I am also participating in honor of my sister, Marilyn Hayes and coworker, Anthony McCloud who are survivors! Each of them have had a different journey. My drive to support the American Brain Tumor Association has only grown stronger with every friend, family and coworker I know affected by this.
You can help by supporting me in my efforts by making a donation to the American Brain Tumor Association.
