Four years ago, I had the life-changing experience of being diagnosed with a Grade 3 Anaplastic Astrocytoma. Though the treatment was long and difficult, I find myself now 4 years later with my whole life in front of me! I know firsthand the struggle and courage it takes to face this illness, and I know how important it is to have a strong support network of family and friends. No one should have to take a brain tumor on alone. The ABTA supports people like me by directly funding research into treatments, as well as patient outreach and education. I am walking to raise awareness for this great organization and to continue its mission of hope.
