Life has been crazy! I am a couple months behind in registering for the ABTA 5k this year (yikes)! I am going into my 9th year participating in this event, I can't believe it.
As most of you know, I lost my dad to a Glioblastoma Multiforme Stage IV on July 5, 2008. He was diagnosed in March 2008 so we didn't have much time with him after that. I was (and still am) a daddy's girl and I miss him every single day. I run every year to honor his life and it helps me feel connected to him even after all these years.
Brain tumor research is so important and I want to do my part to help fund that research so any donation helps. Even if it's just $5.
Every single year I am humbled by the compassion and generosity of not only my friends and family, but complete strangers who feel compelled to support me through my story. It's been a tough couple of months, but I am going to keep on keeping on for my parents - I want to make them proud of me. So thank you everyone, your love and support mean everything to me.
