Each day, 500 people will be diagnosed with a brain tumor. To show my support, my family & I as well as many friends will be participating in the American Brain Tumor Association’s BT5K Breakthrough for Brain Tumors Run & Walk in memory of Dennis Sturm, MY HERO, my amazing husband of 29 yrs who sadly lost his battle 4 years ago in August to brain cancer. Dennis had an oligodendroglioma and courageously battled his brain tumor for 3 1/2 yrs, he was so BRAVE! He underwent 3 brain surgeries @ OSU Medical Center along with chemo/2 cycles of radiation treatments at The James Cancer Center - He was a BEAST! Dennis's journey of Courage, Love and Faith has continued to serve as an inspiration to us all... "In Dennis I found the love of my life & my closest, truest, & Best Friend!"
Money raised by the BT5K will provide critical funding for brain tumor research and for supportive patient care.
