As some of you may know, my dad was diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive brain tumor at the end of February called a Granular Cell Anaplastic Astrocytoma. As we have struggled to wrap our heads around this diagnosis and learning about this whole new world called brain cancer, I have come to realize that there is absolutely not enough awareness or funding around finding a cure for brain tumors.
Each day, 500 people will be diagnosed with a brain tumor. Money raised by the BT5K provides critical funding for brain tumor research and for supportive patient care.
To help my dad and others like him, I recently accepted the challenge to participate in the BT5K Denver Breakthrough for Brain Tumors Run & Walk on May 5, 2018 to support the mission of the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA).
If you can’t make it to the BT5K Denver on May 5, 2018, please consider making a donation to the American Brain Tumor Association in support of the team’s efforts. Click the "Donate Now" button on the right to donate safely and securely.
