Our 26 year old son Alex, had a seizure on November 24, 2017. It was confirmed after MRI he had a 5 cm mass in his left frontal lobe. After a resection it was confirmed it was ANAPLASTIC ASTROCYTOMA grade 3 (AA) at Northwestern Hospital in Chicago on December 5, 2017. Quite a shock for the EARLY family for Alex showed no symptoms prior to the seizure. This AA brain tumor has microscopic molecular tumor cells that need to be destroyed to prevent rapid regrowth, but it will resurface its ugly self again. He just completed 30 days of radation and will start chemotherapy next month, 5 days on 23 days off of 6 cycles. His body and mind have been so strong!
Our world has been rocked upstide down with this cancer and we want to do anything we can to help the next family of a young child/adult diagnosed with brain cancer. Please help us and doante to a cause that is so closer to or hearts. Each day, 500 people will be diagnosed with a brain tumor. More research is necessart to determine cause, treatment, and support services for brain tumor victims.
