The Forever Young team is once again going to participate in the BT5K on April 22, 2018 at Solider Field.
This year our team would like to honor Rick Schroeder . He was diagnosed with several brain tumors and he fought the extremely difficult fight of brain cancer, his battle ended on January 6, 2018 but his courageous spirit will always be remembered. For those of you who didn't know Rick, he was Nancy Manning brother, Nancy and her beautiful family have participated in the BT5K since the very first walk.
We would also like to honor Gary Edwardsen. He is a 9 year survivor of glioblastoma multiforme stage 4. You may have met Gary at the walk with his wonderful sister Linda Buikema and her awesome family. Linda has also participated in the BT5K since the very first walk.
I never truly appreciated how important research was until I was faced with a brain tumor, with surgery and chemotherapy that was new, I made tremendous progress. I realize how important this cause is and feel truly blessed to have had everyone's support and love.
Although the BT5K is small, its a start. We can all make a difference by taking small steps.
Please join Team Forever Young on April 22, 2018 and walk/run to support this cause. If you can't join us please consider making a donation to our team. The links are provided at the bottom of this page.
Thank you all so very much for the love, support and friendship!!
