Hey friends and family. I know most all of you have causes that are near and dear to your heart, so if that is the case, take care of those and treat this as education. For those of you that can add one more cause to your heart (pocket optional), well, I would like to invite you to consider this one.
I have organized a team for the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA) 5K "Breakthrough for Brain Tumors" walk/run in Denver. The team name is "Joggin for the Noggin". I wanted to invite you all to participant in the annual 5K run/walk and to be on the team. This will be my first time doing this event in Denver after prior events in DC and Boston, and I am looking forward to the experience and finding new ways to support those fighting cancer, and especially brain cancer.
Some things we cannot control in our lives. I couldn't control whether or not I got a cancerous brain tumor, but I can control whether it will determine my outlook on life. I choose to look at life as a gift, and I am lucky to share my life with all of you...thank you for sharing your's with me!
If you have questions, give me a shout. For more information on what the ABTA does and where they spend donations, please visit the site: www.abta.org. Also, I recently became aware of another worthy brain tumor foundation, Voices Against Brain Cancer, so this year, I run in honor of Gary Lichtenstein and is family...we are all in this together!
