My aunt, Maria Mesa (aka...Tia) passed away in July 2014 from the one of the most deadliest forms of brain cancer, glioblastoma. She survived with the brain tumor for 3 years before she left us forever. She was a second mother to me, so her passing was devastating. She was a strong, independent, ferocious, and tenacious woman, daughter, sister, aunt, friend and fighter. Her cousin, Tony Rodriguez, recently also passed away from the same exact brain tumor. Let's stand together and fight this disease for Tia, Tony and all those who lost their battle, or who are still fighting!
I've lived a life that's full
I've traveled each and every highway
But more, much more than this
I did it my way
~My Way, Frank Sinatra
Thank you in advance for your support of our efforts on behalf of brain tumor patients, their families, and the researchers pursuing the breakthroughs.
