The Tumanators

I'm Jillian. In July of 2014, while 28 weeks pregnant with my son, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. After 10 weeks, 13+ MRIs, a c-section to have my healthy and beautiful baby boy, and a craniectomy... my brain tumor was a pilocytic astrocytoma or a juvenile astrocytoma, and was benign. I understand that this is not the typical situation, and believe me, there is not a day that goes by that I am not thankful for my diagnosis and the life that I get to live. My heart breaks for the families affected by brain tumors and brain cancer, and I would like to help in any way that I can. The ways that seem most helpful are raising money for research and spreading awareness. The Tumanators is a kick ass team that I, with the help of my family and friends, created to walk/run the American Brain Tumor Association's Breakthrough for Brain Tumors 5K. The BT5k is Saturday, May 12 at 9am this year. The 5k is at Kensington Park, and is always a fun and beautiful atmosphere!

We would love to have as many people join The Tumanators as possible!! Come join the fun! We have raised over $5000 and are a bronze team! So if you want to be part of that... !!!

If you can’t make it to the BT5K on May 12, 2017, please consider making a donation in support of the team’s efforts. If you cannot make a donation, please help us get the word out!! Any help would be much appreciated!

Thank you in advance for your support of our efforts on behalf of brain tumor patients, their families, and the researchers pursuing the breakthroughs.
