As some of you may know, my dad was diagnosed with a very rare brain tumor at the end of February called a Granular Cell Anaplastic Astrocytoma. It has been a total shock to my family and the past few weeks have been a rollercoaster of emotions. As we have struggled to wrap our heads around this diagnosis and learning about this whole new world called brain cancer, I have come to realize that there is absolutely not enough awareness or funding around finding a cure for brain tumors.
So I recently accepted the challenge to participate in the BT5K Denver Breakthrough for Brain Tumors Run & Walk on May 5, 2018, in Denver to support the mission of the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA).
My team will be participating in the BT5K Denver Breakthrough for Brain Tumors Run & Walk, an inspiring and fun event benefiting the American Brain Tumor Association.
