Carrying the fire and hope for a cure: Believing brings about miracles
Thank you for visiting my American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA) Team Breakthrough fundraising page. I've committed to participating in Bank of America Chicago Marathon again on October 8, 2017 and fundraising for this fabulous organization. The money I raise will help support cutting edge research and patient/family support programs. The ABTA is close to my heart and helped me when I was diagnosed with a Brain Tumor in 2013. I have seen personally how much this organization helps people and have met many at the charity race who have shared their stories of why they support the ABTA. I must say, each and everyone touches my heart and makes me more determined to do my best to help raise awareness and donations for the beautiful ABTA.
I was diagnosed with an Anaplastic Astrocytoma Grade III Brain tumor in 2013. My life was going in a different direction before this diagnosis. However, the beautifully fabulous Mass General surgeon on October 21, 2013 was able to do a total resection of the tumor. I am blessed that the surgery went so well and very grateful that I have not had any reoccurrence thus far. This is my time to pay it forward! I am so very grateful that I can be a part of Team Breakthrough another year. October 2017 will be my 4th year running with this beautiful team and my 4th year with no regrowth. It is my utmost pleasure to be able to help raise funds for Brain Tumor research as well as programs to help patients/families cope with a Brain Tumor diagnosis. These past 3 years, I have carried the fire and hope that very soon there will be a cure for all Brain Tumors. Once again, I will run with love, strength and hope in my heart that someday soon there will be a cure and I will never ever lose hope.
Please consider donating to the ABTA and know your donation will make a difference.
Let's Never Lose Hope and Carry the Strength, Love and hope for a cure together with every dollar raised and by bringing awareness to everyone about the prevalence of Brain Tumors and how early diagnosis and treatment is key to a postivite outcome. Please visit the ABTA website for details on signs/symptoms of Brain Tumors and how ABTA is making a difference in the world.
Any donation and/or happy well wishes for a super fabulous run is so appreciated!!!
