5 years ago, I ran the Philly Marathon. It was the toughest thing I’ve ever done, but also the most rewarding. During training, I thought to myself that I for sure would be one and done with marathons. But ultimately, I decided that I’ll attempt to run another marathon. This time, I’ll be running the Chicago Marathon in October!
In the five years since I ran the Philadelphia Marathon, unfortunately I have known three people who were diagnosed with brain tumors. Although their stories were different, they each had inoperable brain tumors that ultimately ended their lives way too soon.
That’s why for the Chicago Marathon I’ll be running for Team Breakthrough with the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA). ABTA is dedicated to brain tumor education, support and research.
Please support me in my efforts by making a donation to the American Brain Tumor Association.
