I know, I can't believe I'm doing this either!! But I am!! In 2019, I will be running the Bank Of America Chicago Marathon with two goals:
1) To finish the race by Oprah's iconic time of 4:29:20.
2) To raise at least $1,750 for the American Brain Tumor Association's Team Breakthrough.
I really, really need your help with the second one. In 2010, my dearest friend and roommate at the time, Nadine Sfeir, was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor that would ultimately take her life. If you went to the University of Florida or grew up in the Orlando-area or attended any of the bars on the LES or East Village the summer of 2010 or honestly if you have any connection at all to the Middle East, you probably knew Nadine (At UF, there was an entire Facebook group with like a gazillion people in it called "I also know Nadine Sfeir" -- Everybody knew Nadine!) When Nadine passed away ALL of us lost a dear friend and daily source of inspiration and joy.
Please help me honor her memory by donating to American Brain Tumor Association through this page. The funds raised will provide critical funding for brain tumor research and for supportive patient care. Click on “Donate Now” to donate safely and securely.
Your donation not only supports brain tumor patients and their families, but it also supports the breakthrough research to improve, extend and ultimately save lives.
And remember, your donation is tax-deductible! You can learn more about the American Brain Tumor Association at www.abta.org. Thank you in advance for your support of my efforts on behalf of brain tumor patients, their families, and the researchers pursuing the breakthroughs.
