Help me fundraise! Link below to your right... I’m running a HALF MARATHON in March, and my participation is contingent on fundraising $1000! for the American Brain Tumor Association. As a two-time brain surgery patient, this matters to me a LOT, and if I’m being blunt, it should matter to you too. This half marathon is celebrating the recovery from all the havoc those tumors wreaked!
I’m at the gym almost every day, pounding my feet on the treadmill with a 12-minute mile, taking strength training classes, and nursing very sore muscles. I’m 75 pounds lighter than I was before my first surgery, learning that my body was supposed to be this small all along but the tumors kept me bigger and more exhausted than my body could support. Pounds are relative, body image is subjective, but WE define success, and I WILL succeed in running this marathon! I just need YOUR HELP to succeed the fundraising goal.
Please share this page, and believe in yourself. If you don’t feel right, go to a doctor, complain about the weirdness, ask for blood tests and MRIs. If you don’t have good affordable health care, talk to hospitals about financial aid options. I am blessed with phenomenal coverage, but I haven’t always been, and I can do my best to help you get the medical attention you need.
Help me run this race, help me prove to myself that I CAN!!!
Donate now to keep me from posting obnoxious videos of me running and sweating, lifting weights, in uncomfortable stretches, and worse, lol!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!! It means the world to me, ABTA, and all the people who benefit from the research and community.
