In October of 2018, my older brother Rob took himself to the Emergency Room with a severe migraine. What we thought was another migraine, turned out to be a golf ball sized brain tumor on the right side of his brain. Thanks to Rob's resilience and the brilliant neurosurgery team at Northwestern Hospital, the five hour surgery the following day was a success. Although his battle isn't over, Rob has conquered so much in such a short amount of time.
Rob's journey inspired me to run the marathon for the American Brain Tumor Association and gave me a new perspective on life. Money raised will provide critical funding for brian tumor research and supportive patient care. Any amount, no matter how small, makes a difference.
