In March 2019, doctors discovered my sister, Melissa had developed a brain tumor.
Each day, 500 people will be diagnosed with a brain tumor, now my sister is now one of those people.
We went from a "most likely benign" to "malignant" almost immediately and all of our lives changed, forever. She is in her final round of radiation as I hit submit on registration for the San Diego Marathon this May.
Even with brain cancer my sister could run circles around me but i'm going to try and kick out another 26.2 in her honor.
On May 31st 2020 I will be participating in the American Brain Tumor Association’s Team Breakthrough Endurance program by running the San Diego Marathon. Money raised will provide critical funding for brain tumor research and for supportive patient care.
I ask that you please consider supporting me in my efforts by making a donation to the American Brain Tumor Association and helping me hit my goal of $5,000!
