3rd Annual Scaring is Caring Halloween Party
Welcome to the donation page for Scaring is Caring. We are very excited to be hosting this event together again for a 3rd year and to be able to invite you to join us for a really fun night all in the name of a good cause. Thanks to your generosity we have raised almost $30,000 through this event to help in the fight against brain cancer.
This year's event will support the American Brain Tumor Association by raising funds for brain tumor research, as well as support and education programs for brain tumor patients and their families. Did you know there are 700,000 people in the US living with a brain tumor and that 500 more are diagnosed every day?
As you may already know, this cause is very close to both of us. Brain cancer is a scary and crippling disease. There are many kinds - some cureable, some not - and both of us lost people we loved very much to it. Natalie's sister, Danielle Zfat, was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Mutliforme at the tender age of 19 and lost her battle in February 2014 at just 21 years old. Lauren's father, John Scala, fell ill with GBM at age 64 and passed a little over a year later in November 2013. This cancer does not discriminate by gender, age, or ethnicity.
We share this with you so that you know why this party is so important to us and who we are remembering that night. We THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for helping to make progress so that someday more people will have a chance!
We hope to see you on the 21st!
