Whether you’re hosting a 5K or bike race, dance-a-thon or sports tournament, you can feel great knowing that your event will help to support critical brain tumor research and support services for the 700,000 people living with a brain tumor and their families.
Thank you for visiting our team page. We are excited to participate in this event for the American Brain Tumor Association, and to raise critical funds that will support brain tumor research, as well as support and education services for brain tumor patients and their families. We are doing this in memory of my Mom, Sandy Urbaniak, who lost her brave battle with brain cancer at the age of 58.
Three years ago, we joined forces with the American Brain Tumor Association to help fight against this disease. We started the Sandy sMILES Memorial 5k and Family Fun Walk as a way for our family, friends and community to join us in our fight. To date, we have raised over $17,000 for the American Brain Tumor Association! We will continue to fight until we help to find a cure.
Did you know there are 700,000 people in the U.S. living with a brain tumor and 500 more are diagnosed every day?
The funds we raise can help make an impact in the lives of those touched by a brain tumor diagnosis. The ABTA’s programs – including their educational webinar series and their CareLine, where you can speak to a licensed health care professional – allow patients and families know that they are not alone.
Make a donation, or register to join our team. Thank you in advance for your support of this very important cause.
