11th Annual Head for the Cure 6K Run/Walk

He never gave up!
He never gave up!

Tommy's Tumor

Our team lost its leader in September 2014. After a 7 year war....Tommy lost his battle.  He fought hard until the end. It was the hardest decision we ever had to make as a family! Even though he was in a wheelchair at last year's walk he never complained of the heat or sun in Carmel or the cold and wind in Chicago.  Tom always thought he was going to get better. But it was not to be! We will continue to walk/run for everyone battling this disease until a cure is found. We would like to think that Tommy's 7 year treatment taught the Drs. and researchers something about Avastin that can be of help to other patients.

It will be a bittersweet event for us...but we know Tommy will be there in spirit! God bless everyone fighting this disease! Good luck to all!!

My team will be participating in the 11th Annual Head for the Cure 6K Family Fun & Competitive Run/Walk at Creekside Middle School on Saturday, June 6, 2015 benefitting the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA).

You can help support the nearly 700,000 people currently living with a brain tumor. Join my team or make a donation to the American Brain Tumor Association in support of this event.

Thank you in advance for your support of our efforts on behalf of brain tumor patients, their families, and the researchers pursuing the breakthroughs.
