7th Annual Glio-Blastoff 5K
May 8, 2010 @ 9am
Location: University Park on the campus of Eastern Michigan University

Denise Kimball

This Annual event was organized to honor Denise Kimball and to raise awareness and funds for the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA).

The Glio-Blastoff 5K has raised more than $42,000 over the past six years for the American Brain Tumor Association.  Each year the event has grown and we expect a record number of participants this year.

ABTA is a not-for-profit, independent organization. Not affiliated with any one institution, they serve individuals globally and award funds to researchers throughout the United States and Canada. Founded in 1973 out of a desperate need, ABTA exists to eliminate brain tumors through research and to meet the needs of brain tumor patients and their families.

Please make checks payable to ABTA/Glio-Blastoff 5K.  Checks can be submitted the day of the walk or mailed to:

About This Event:
The 7th Annual Glio-Blastoff 5K Run/Walk will take place on May 8, 2010 starting

The event starts and finishes in University Park on the main campus of Eastern Michigan University. Post race awards, prize drawings, and food will occur in the Lake House at University Park.

Course:
The race course is fast and flat. It starts in University Park on Eastern Michigan University main campus. The course winds down an ROTC bike path to Hewitt, down Huron, and cuts back to the ROTC bike path and finishes in University Park. See the event website for a map of the course.

Awards/Prizes:
The top three male and female finishers in each age category will receive awards. A post event raffle drawing will be held after the last walker finishes. All participants will be entered into this drawing for a chance to win cool prizes. You will have to place your prize ticket into the of your choice before 9 a.m. The prize drawing is set up so that you can enter your ticket to win the item you hope to win. This way you are more likely to get something you want and can use.
