Please join me in honoring my late brother Jared by donating to the American Brain Tumor Association....
Each day, 500 people will be diagnosed with a brain tumor. To show my support, I will be participating in the American Brain Tumor Association’s Team Breakthrough Endurance program. Money raised will provide critical funding for brain tumor research and for supportive patient care.
You can support me in my efforts by making a donation to the American Brain Tumor Association.

Why I chose to fundraise for the American Brain Tumor Association:
Many of you know my brother Jared died from an inoperable brain tumor. He died 8 years ago this past December. There are many aspects of his illness and death that I never processed, notably, guilt. This past December I entered the lottery to run the Chicago Marathon. When I wasn't selected I was over it - it wasn't meant to be. Then I looked at the option of doing a charity entry and saw that one of the charities listed was the American Brain Tumor Association. At that point I was going to run the Chicago Marathon to raise money, not raising money to be able to run. Although I was selected to Team Breakthrough: American Brain Tumor Association Endurance Program in December, the proximity to the anniversary of Jared's death brought up many unprocessed emotions. So now I think I am ready to begin this journey and fundraise for a cause in which I truly believe. I hope to share insights into why I think this is such a great cause throughout the journey so please stay tuned.
